RAJASTHAN 8 NIGHTS 9 DAYS (PLACES COVERED: JAIPUR –BIKANER
–JAISALMER -JODHPUR -UDAIPUR)
Itinerary:
Day 01: ARRIVE JAIPUR
Pick up from airport/railway station at Jaipur, meet our driver at
the exit gate transferred to hotel, check into hotel. Rest day
free for leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, meet our driver and Enjoy a full day city
sightseeing tour of Jaipur -the picturesque capital of Rajasthan.
Morning excursion to Amber Fort-Fort while enjoying the Elephant
Ride. Amber is located at a distance of 11 kilometersfrom Jaipur
and was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of Amber, which used to
be the capital, till it was moved to Jaipur. The fort is built
with white marble and red sandstone and looks even more attractive
because of the Maota Lake in the foreground. The fort in itself is
a beautiful sight to behold but as one looks on the fort with its
clear reflection on the lake in the front one cannot help but
wonder if it is a dream or a beautiful illusion. Afternoon Lunch
will be provided in local restaurant.Then visit Jal Mahal,
Observatory, Hawa Mahal, Walled Pink city & Albert Hall Museum,
Jantar Mantar, Jaigarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort is situated on the
promontory called the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) of the
Aravalli range, it overlooks the Amber Fort and the Maota Lake,
near Amber in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The fort was built by Jai
Singh II in 1726 to protect the Amber Fort and its palace complex
and was named after him.
Latercity tour visiting City Palace, the former royal residence
built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles.Evening free
for shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: JAIPUR / BIKANER (APPROX 05 HRS 30 MIN DRIVE)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Bikaner, check
in to hotel, after freshen, have a lunch in local restaurant and
then visit Bikaner Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace & Jain Temples.
Evening back to hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.Bikaner: Bikaner (About this

state of Rajasthan, India. It is located 330 kilometres (205 mi)
northwest of the state capital, Jaipur. Bikaner city is the
administrative headquarters of Bikaner District and Bikaner
division.
Formerly the capital of the princely state of Bikaner, the city
was founded by Rao Bika in 1488 CE and from its small originsit
has developed into the fourth largest city in Rajasthan. The
Ganges Canal, completed in 1928, and the Indira Gandhi Canal,
completed in 1987, facilitated its development.
Day 04: BIKANER / JAISALMER (APPROX 05 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel visit Karni mata temple
and Camel Farm at Bikaner. After that Proceed to Jaisalmer the
Golden city, check-in to hotel, Have a lunch in local restaurant
and then visit Sam sand dune, enjoy camel safari at your own and
feast your eyes with cultural bonanza in the undulating sea of
sand. Drive back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05: JAISALMER
After breakfast, enjoy city tour of Jaisalmer covering The Golden
fort or Sonar Killa, trace the former opulence in the havelis
called Patwon ki haveli (Lunch will be provided in local
retaurant), Salim singh ki haveli & Nathmal ki haveli. Drive back
to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay In Hotel.
JAISALMER: Jaisalmer nicknamed "The Golden
city", is a city in the India State of Rajasthan, located 575
kilometers (357mi) west of the state capital Jaipur. Once known as
Jaisalmer state. It is a World Heritage Site. The town stands on a
ridge of yellowish sandstone, and is crowned by the ancient
Jaisallmer fort. This fort contains a royal palace and several
ornateJain temples. Many of the houses and temples of both the
fort, and of the town below, are built of finely sculptured
sandstone. The town lies in the heart of the Thar Desert (the
Great Indian Desert) and has a total population, including the
residents of the fort, of about 78,000. It is the administrative
headquarters of Jaisalmer District.
Day 06: JAISALMER / JODHPUR (APPROX 04 HRS 30 MIN
DRIVE)
After Breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Jodhpur. On
arrival visit the Mehrangarh fort (lunch will be provided in local
restaurant) an illustrious work of magnificence, Jaswant Thada the
Taj Mahal of Mewar. Rest day free for leisure. Dinner and
overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: JODHPUR / UDAIPUR (APPROX 04 HRS 30 MIN) VIA RANAKPUR &
KHUBHAL GARH
After Breakfast, check out from hotel anddrive to Udaipur. Enroute
visit Ranakpur and Khumbhal garh. (Lunch will be provided in local
restaurant).On arrival at Udaipur time permit enjoy Boat ride at
Pichola lake at your own cost. Dinner and overnight at Udaipur
hotel.
Day 08: UDAIPUR SIGHTSEEING
Morning after breakfast half day city tour of Udaipur to visit
City Palace & Museum, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Jagdish Temple. Followed
by the Drive Around the Fateh Sagar Lake. Evening enjoy Boat Ride
at Lake Pichola also visit the Jag Mandir in the Pichola Lake.
Drive back to hotel and overnight stay at your hotel. (Lunch will
be provided in local restaurant at the time of lunch).
CITYPALACE: Udaipur City Palace is one of the
architectural marvels of Rajasthan, located peacefully on the
banks of Lake Pichola. This majestic City Palace is the
most-visited tourist attraction of Udaipur and often distinguished
as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Initially, Maharana
Udai Singh built this superb wonder, but the present form of the
Palace is the result of subsequent additions by his successors.
SAHELIYON KI BARI GARDEN: Saheliyon Ki Bari is
one the most beautiful gardens and a major tourist destination in
Udaipur. The garden is famous for its lush green lawns, marble art
and fountains. English translation of Saheliyon Ki Bari means
"Garden of maids". This renowned garden is located on the banks of
Fateh Sagar Lake, presenting a green retreat in the dry lands of
Rajasthan. Garden of maids was built in the 18th century by
Maharana Sangram Singh for the royal ladies.
JAGDHISH TEMPLE: Agdish Temple is one of the
famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the City Palace complex of
Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of
architecture. In 1651, Jagdish temple was built by Maharana Jagat
Singh, who ruled Udaipur during 1628-53. The temple is dedicated
to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe. It
is celebrated for being the largest temple in the city of Udaipur.
The gateway of this temple can be sited at a distance of 150
metersfrom the Bara Pol of the City Palace.
FATEH SAGAR LAKE: Fateh Sagar Lake is the second
artificial lake of Udaipur, the first being Jaisamand lake.
Located in the north of Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake lies just
besides the entrance to Moti Magri Hill. Built in 1678 by Maharana
Jai Singh, Fateh Sagar Lake got its name from Maharana Fateh
Singh, who later made additions to it. Talking about the
statistics of Fateh Sagar, the lake extends to the length of 2.4
km, 1.6 km. in width and deep to the extent of 11.5 meter. During
the monsoons, the lake covers the total area of around 1 sq km.
LAKE PICHOLA: Pichola Lake is one of the most
beautiful and picturesque lakes of Rajasthan, India. Located in
the heart of the city, Pichola Lake is the oldest and one of the
largest lakes of Udaipur. In 1362, the beautiful lake was built by
Pichhu Banjara during the ruling period of Maharana Lakha. Talking
about the dimensions of Pichhola Lake, it is extended to 3 miles
in length, 2 miles in width and has depth of 30 feet.
Day 09: UDAIPUR DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, check out from hotel and enjoy shopping at your
own and at the time of boarding drop at Udaipur airport to board
the flight to onward destination.
